No. 1 for a reason.

The Cubs hired a new manager yesterday
And it wasn't Ryne Sandberg. This is good and bad.
It's good because seemingly the vast majority of Cubs fans wanted Sandberg. Now they're pissed and that's adorable, as always. Only problem is, as my sabr-friendly Cubs-leaning roommate informed us, Sandberg probably would have been awful. Oh well.
So: will Mike Quade also be awful? No one can say for sure, but he certainly doesn't have any hair.
Also entertaining: Sandberg is 'mad bummed' at the Cubs' decision and plans on pursuing other major league jobs. He just wasted the last four years of his life living in Peoria, Des Moines, Iowa and Kodak, Tennessee. Hey, maybe it could be worse?
