Brad Miller left the Bulls over the weekend, accepting a three-year, $15
million contract from the Houston Rockets. This is a bummer, to be
sure. Miller became a fan favorite during his second stint in Chicago
for doing all of the little things: hitting open jumpers, taunting like a
WWF heel, dishing out hard fouls, having an above-average beard.
Finding a backup center to replace all of these qualities on the free
agent market will be difficult, to say the least.
But, you know,
it could be worse. As Miller doppelganger/Ball Don't Lie editor Trey
Kerby noted,
at least he's not going to Miami. Plus, anything that
brings us closer to Miller and
Yao Ming starting a
two-man traveling sketch comedy routine can't be a bad thing.
Still,
Brad Miller leaving the Bulls makes me sad, enough so that a photo
essay commemorating his finest moments in Chicago seems absolutely
necessary. It's the least we can do, really.

This memorial piece has nothing on the Contreras article from this time last year.
Let's not forget the famous 'Brad Miller pump fake' where very much like a scene from 'Inception', time slows down and Miller would drive to the hoop.
That's what I'll miss most. Plus we'd hear King say, "Why does every center in the league fall for that?"
I don't know Stacey, I just don't know.
