From the
Trib:
Former Chicago Bears quarterback Rex Grossman
has taken a major loss on the sale of his 36th-floor condominium in
Chicago's Trump International Hotel & Tower, unloading it for $2
million.
...
Grossman purchased the two-bedroom Trump unit in September 2008 for
$2.681 million. Less than a year later, after the Bears informed him
that he was not in their plans for the 2009 season, Grossman signed
with the Texans and then placed the unit on the market for $2.349
million. He later reduced its asking price to $2.295 million. Features
in the unit include Snaidero cabinetry, upgraded appliances,
his-and-hers baths, hardwood floors and two parking spaces.
If you're scoring at home, that's a net loss of $681,000. Chump change to some athletes, sure, but keep in mind that Rex's contract last year in Houston was a one-year, $620,000 deal.
Am I wrong for thinking this is funny? I hope not.
If you need convincing, imagine the ball is a $2.6 million condo.
Ricky axes: "Am I wrong for thinking this is funny?"
Not at all. The fact of the matter is that Grossman could fuck up a wet dream.
I can almost picture him falling out of the bed, just before he scores.
