Sad news out of Bears Land today. Gaines Adams died in South Carolina this morning. ESPN is
saying he went into cardiac arrest caused by an enlarged heart.
Here's what Brian Urlacher
told the Trib.
"It's crazy," Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher said. "I didn't know
him that well because he came in during the middle of the season. But
I did know him. I still saw him every day when I went into work. It's
just weird.
"I had a teammate die when I was in college. You just don't know how to handle it. It's just sad, man. It's a bad deal."
R.I.P.
Update: Stompy passes along
this Fanhouse post. There's some good stuff in there.
Does he still count against the cap?
Do we get our second round pick back from Tampa?
Are there any more insensitive questions that I can ask?
How stupid will the Indy head coach feel if his team loses next week to the Jets? He was the one that breathed new life into them. If they come back to bite him in the ass for even allowing them a chance to get into the playoffs, they'll be calling for his head.
Is he related to Lovie?
Wow, racist and insensitive. Why not go for the trifecta?!
Now please explain to me how that comment was racist. Are you somehow inferring that I would have written something different if he had been of another race?
So what I wrote would have been ok or more PC, in your humble opinion, if he had been Swedish?
Where did you get your "All Seeing EYE"? I want one too.
And for your information, if Olin had kacked, I would have wondered aloud if he was still in line for his roster bonus, and whether or not his turnstile presence on the O-Line would even be missed.
That would have meant that I hated native Hawaiians, right
"Racist" -- I just meant the Caldwell = Lovie comment.
"Insensitive" -- The three questions in your first comment.
For the record, I was offended by none of it, repeated the three questions comment at the bar tonight, and it got a big laugh.
