To make things easier on me when I write about the standings - and easier on everyone so you don't have to think of an ultra-clever name - feel free to make your team name your first name. My team is called Ricky because I am Ricky. The deets: a) We're still picking games without the spread but we've added confidence points this year. That means you put 16 points on the game you're most confident in every week, and 1 point on the game you're least confident in. And so on. If the team you picked wins the game, you get the number of points you assigned to it. Easy as pie. b) Last year, a bunch of people forgot to get their picks in on time because of these stupid Thursday games. As such, this year we'll be dropping the two lowest scores. So if you can't sign up today to get your picks in for Week 1, you can always just start off at Week 2 with no harm done. But you really should sign up and get your Week 1 picks in today, if possible. c) Last year Mack Condor took home the title, outlasting Mike from Green Pinstripes. Mack won nothing. d) That sucks for Condor, because this year, we have a very sweet prize. As donated by a loyal reader....
