Watch as I try to convince blue collar, hard-nosed Chicagoans that you can
win with offense, too. I'm sure this will go over well. It's all at the Sun-Times' Full Court Press blog. And it all comes back to Jay Cutler, of course.
Also, in case you missed it, everyone's favorite former Sun-Times columnist got ripped to shreds all across the Web yesterday. His masterpiece of a column was on steroids and bloggers. Find it at
Fanhouse, if you want, but I think I'll follow Stompy's edict and not give Jay the pageviews.
Great posts
here,
here, and
here. FreeDarko's tweets were
dead on, as well.
I feel like it has been too long since we've had some quality Jay bashing. Maybe it's better that way. But - more than anything - I just want another excuse to post this picture.
He has a very punchable face, doesn't he?
ricky,
Y don't the bulls save some money and just sign iverson to the midlevel exception to replace BG, it would be cheaper and maybe better, barring he doesn't have any of his usual antics
Besides for being undersized shooting guards, Iverson and Gordon really aren't all that similar. Gordon is a 3-point sniper, Iverson is more of a slasher. I feel like Iverson needs the ball in his hands more which doesn't really work when you have Rose. Plus, I don't even know if Iverson would accept a one-year, MLE offer. You saw how pissed he got when Det. tried to bring him off the bench last year.
Gordon's gone now though so the Bulls have to do something. We'll see.
good riddance to BG. rick you're right...he is undersized. although he was our leading scorer the past four years, he could play defense for shit and that killed the Bulls so many times. i know capt. kirk is more of a point but i wouldn't mind seeing him next to rose or even starting salmons at the 2. this is assuming BGs scoring can be distributed throughout the team and the team will pick up the slack (read: TT needs to have a big season).
I love how you refer to the readers as "you guys" when you're from here.
