April 2009 ArchiveBefore Game 6, Take In Some Anti-KG Propagandaby Bobby Stompy on April 30 at 11:37AM
This video is clearly biased, and it most likely includes several factual inaccuracies, but with that disclaimer out of the way, you can't ignore the actual game footage the video provides. So ignore the text (if you want), and just make your own opinions from there.
If this doesn't fire you up for the Game 6 tonight, you're not a Bulls fan. In other news, the good team kicks off their second round series tonight. It starts right around when the Bulls game ends, so it'll probably end up being our solace and new hope from losing Game 6 or the calming down period from winning Game 6. And am I the only one who enjoys the late start times (Vancouver, baby)? But, to quote an extremely fired up -- and biased in his own right -- Stacey King at the end of the Game 5 loss, "This is goin' seven!" You want Bulls thoughts?by Ricky O'Donnell on April 29 at 4:16AM
You've got Bulls thoughts!10 of them.I watched this one as close as I could, but I was at work so it didn't have my full attention. Summer needs to be here. Like right now. Also, in case you need motivation to...
'HAWKSby Ricky O'Donnell on April 27 at 11:53PM
We wouldn't have gone as bonkers here as we did if the Bears had traded for a 25-year old Pro Bowl safety or defensive end. Wide receiver, even. The reason the day the Bears traded for Jay Cutler immediately earned...
Bulls top Celtics in another classicby Ricky O'Donnell on April 27 at 12:18PM
I'd first like to thank David Stern for not allowing NBA teams to foul when they're up three with under 10 seconds to go. That was the only thing I was worried about at the end of regulation to be...
Bailamos! -- Bears Draft Iglesiasby Bobby Stompy on April 26 at 11:21AM
Juaquin Iglesias, (which is pronounced wahk-EEN... props Wikipedia), to the Bears with the second-to-last pick of the third round. He was the 99th player selected in the 2009 NFL Draft. Please don't call him Joakim Iglesias. Before the draft, I said...
Bears Nab Pool Jump Guyby Bobby Stompy on April 26 at 10:53AM
The Bears first selection in the draft came in the third round with San Diego State DL/DT Jarron Gilbert. It's easy to get a little bummed as a fan when your team drafts players you haven't really heard of... after...

A Few NFL Draft Thoughts and Bears Theoriesby Bobby Stompy on April 24 at 11:58AM

Bearly Relevant: Reflecting on the NFL Draftby Ricky O'Donnell on April 22 at 1:09AM

Bulls show they belong but what's with all the offensive boards?by Ricky O'Donnell on April 21 at 3:46AM
You wouldn't think the Celtics' frontcourt advantage over the Bulls would be that great without Kevin Garnett, but the reason the Bulls lost yesterday was because Tyrus and Noah got owned on the boards. The Celtics grabbed 21 offensive rebounds...
Monday roundup: remembering an undefeated weekendby Ricky O'Donnell on April 20 at 12:17AM
Bulls! We'll get to Rose in a second, but I don't want his "welcome to superstardom" performance to cover up the fact that the Bulls' Game 1 win over the Celtics was a true team effort. We hear so many debates...
It appears we have a nice little Saturday in front of usby Ricky O'Donnell on April 17 at 3:27PM
MOUTHPIECE'S (what's with the caps?) Eamonn Brennan beat me to it, but it's worth reinforcing. Tomorrow is going to be an epic day in Chicago sports. We've got the Game 1 for the Bulls and C's at 11:30, Sox and...
Your Six Link Blackhawks Playoff Primerby Ricky O'Donnell on April 16 at 1:43PM
It's probably not a secret that I haven't watched too many Blackhawks games this season. After all, the Hawks section of our archives is pretty bare. It's not that I've been ignoring the Hawks on purpose, though. Far from it....

The Perfect Gift for the Displaced/Confused/Color Blind Celtics Fanby Bradwell on April 14 at 4:47PM
I like fitted hats.I like the way they shape my head, protect my eyes from the sun and make me look mildly urban and hip (like Turtle from Entourage, not Ricky during in the mid-90s). So with a little free...

Oops, There Goes a Billion Kilowatt Dam!by Bradwell on April 13 at 8:33PM
Harry's World Series CallToday, I am unspeakably grateful for that. When Philadelphia won the World Series in 1980, Harry Kalas and the Phillies broadcast team were blackballed from calling any of the games due to the national broadcasting contract. Harry...

TUP Podcast 4: we need a name for thisby Ricky O'Donnell on April 7 at 1:27AM
If we exclude the celebrated Hot or Not Era, I think TUP may be at its all-time strongest right now. Bradwell threw up a new post a few minutes ago, and Stompy's Cutler post got some love from the indispensable...
Out of Context Statsby Bradwell on April 7 at 1:12AM
Statistics are fun. They're indicative of value, constantly changing, highly debatable and Joe Morgan hates them. What's not to like? With 24 of the 30 Major League teams playing their first games, we've got all sorts of goofy one-game stats too...
