It's late and I'm tired so this is going to be quick...

  • I said it right after the Game One disaster in Minnesota, and yesterday, The Cheat backed me up: Javy Vazquez won't be on this team next year. Say what you will about Ozzie and Kenny, but they won't tolerate pussies. Javier Vazquez is a pussy. The Sox had to start him yesterday- I don't care what anyone says about Richard, to start a playoff game you have to be able to consistently throw more than only one pitch for a strike- and for the fourth time in a row, Javy blew a big money start.
  • Though I have zero confidence in him (at least for the remainder of this season) Clayton Richard was awesome yesterday. The innings he gave the Sox in Game One could go a long in this series.

  • It's been written everywhere, but seriously: no more Griffey. You can only tolerate his unbelievably shitty defense if he's a masher of the highest order, and he's really not even that good at the plate. Junior can draw the occasional walk and might even hit a homer, but the Sox are at a big disadvantage playing him over Anderson. Anderson in center, Swish in left.
  • The Rayz remind me of the 2005 Sox a lot. It's easy to see the similarities in the bullpen. Balfour and JP Howell are perfecting their roles as Cliff Politte and Neal Cotts as we speak.

  • I can't believe I'm saying this, but here it goes: the Sox hitters need to be more aggresive. I love walks more than anything in life, but these Rayz pitchers just don't throw enough balls. So forget taking the first pitch. The Sox need to go up there hacking.
  • The Sox are going to win today.

I'm 100% sure that no one who reads this site will agree with me, but I think the Cubs have a legit chance to come back from 0-2. I don't even know why, they're playing like shit right now. It's a just a gut feeling.

Dear Frank Caliendo,

Where to begin... First, accurate impersonations do not mean they are funny. Although they are pretty good, you still have to write some sort of material. Election stuff? Please - if I want political satire, I'll watch the daily show or the opening skit of SNL. Finally, just because you are fat does not mean you funny (see: Kevin James).

Best,
Dave

So when I run the live blogs over at the Sun-Times, people always write stuff like "His Bush impression is dead on!" and "I can't wait to watch that show!". Ah, the idiocy of the general public. Not everyone hates Frank Caliendo, just smart people. Remember that.

Some commenter just posted this on FanHouse. It has a 'Beachwood Reporter' tag at the end. Is this a popular video and I just didn't know about it, or no?

Beachwood has a couple songs/music videos, and that's one of the better ones, in my opinion. That song has been play on WGN radio a bunch of times too i think.

Sox suck, but the new Blogs by Fans homepage rules.
