Good to see the Royals screwing over a team in a pennant race besides for the Sox for once. A lot of people probably expected the Sox' one game division lead to be gone before the end of this week, with Minnesota playing at home against Kansas City and all, but the Royals avoided the sweep today with a 3-2 win.
The Twins now head on the road for ten games, and when they come back, the epic three gamer in Chicago begins. The Sox neeeeed to pick up some ground while the Twins are away. Minnesota's road record this year: 31-40. The Sox play host the Tigers for three, go to New York to take on a
crumbling Yankees team for four, then have three in KC. The magic number is 17.

Does anyone out there think Ohio State has a chance in hell against the Trojans? I support the Big 10 as fervently as anyone, and I'll be pulling for the Buckeyes with all my will, but if I were wagering on this game, USC -11 would look pretty juicy.

I suck at fantasy sports. Most people know that. But last week, I had my greatest accomplishment: I scored the most points in my league, all without the help of one Tom Brady. I probably have Michael Turner to thank for that. This week, I give the keys to the castle to Matt Schaub as The Never Nudes take on My Meat. My Meat lost by 13 last week to perennial fantasy doormat Detroit Dingleberrys, so I'm cautiously optimistic for a 2-0 start.
