Maybe more on this on Monday- we'll see what happens this weekend. But, yeah,
no more Doug Collins. He pulled out of the Bulls coaching search this afternoon, which is fine by me. Like I said in the
previous post, it doesn't make any sense to draft the most athletic point guard ever and have him coached by the man who runs of the slowest NBA offense of the last 30 years.
Supposedly former T-Wolves coach Dwane Casey is the new front runner. I don't know how fast he runs his offense, but most of the national writers consider him a
pretty solid coach. More importantly, can we decide on one way to spell Dwayne. Please. I hate looking these things up. Also, this reminds me of that one time when Red Kerr called Dwyane Wade "Jermaine Wade" for three quarters during Wade's rookie year. Worth noting.
I guess the recently axed Flip Saunders wouldn't be a bad choice either, but I'm not totally sold. If Casey is the guy the Bulls want, and they screw this up again....would Pax coach himself? Why not, right?
Also worth noting: I just realized I've written about twice as many Bulls posts in the last month than I did during the season. That just tells you how boring/terrible they were.
"Also, this reminds me of that one time when Red Kerr called Dwyane Wade "Jermaine Wade" for three quarters during Wade's rookie year."
If you make fun of Dead Kerr a few more times, you're going to lose a faithful reader.
