ya.jpgI'm going to be writing over at the Sun-Times again for the next couple of days, so check it out if you'd like. I even shot our good friends over at The Brigade a link, so don't ever question my BlogsByFans loyalty. I'll be there tomorrow too if you want to read my thoughts on the Bulls upcoming loss to the Sixers tonight. And if the Bulls are going to keep losing, can we at least throw Khryapa in there at the end of blowouts just for comedy purposes. I feel like Khryapa could be the funniest guy in the league, but no one knows him outside of Chicago. That may have been Skiles biggest mistake: not unleashing the Soviet Jerry Seinfeld. Imagine him and Noce doing standup together, or possibly a reality show where Khryapa chooses the Russian mistress of his choice. The guy has untapped potential, that's for sure.

Lots of fun stuff around these internets lately. Here are FireJoeMorgan's thoughts on the Swisher trade. I think it's safe to say it was a good deal now:

For the record, Swisher is a beast who has walked 197 times in the last two years. He's 26 and really good. Gio Gonzalez led the Southern League in Ks last year, but the ChiSox apparently think so little of him they have now traded him twice. Fauti de los Santos is doing well in rookie ball and Ryan Sweeney may turn out to be a good OF someday, but Chicago fans should be effing psyched that Swisher and Carlos Quentin are in their OF now. That's a good young OF.

-Bill Simmons checks in with some political thoughts (I envision this ending terribly), and here's what he has to say about Obama:

Obama smokes cigarettes. I can't get past this. Should the president be one of those guys who tells his staff, "Hold on, before we discuss this terrorist attack, lemme sneak outside for a butt"? Also, smokers are predisposed to telling white lies because everyone's always trying to get them to quit, so they're always saying stuff like, "Come on, I only have one or two a day," when they're really sneaking off behind garages and getting up at 2 a.m. pretending to get a glass of water and then plowing through a butt in 30 seconds. That makes me nervous. I don't want my president to have a life built around white lies. Unless he's totally open about the smoking ... then it's OK.

-Finally, it appears the Bears starting quarterback next year will not be wearing size 19 shoes. That is unless someone buys Rex some needlessly huge kicks, which sounds like a great excuse for throwing an interception.
