Hey, yo, BobbyStompy checking in...
The Big Three, 12/17/07
1) Rich Rodriguez is the new head coach of the University of Michigan. This means:

Oh, and I'll be damned if this one at mgoblog isn't my new facebook picture.
2) I went to my first Chicago Blackhawks game ever last night. It was a pretty good time. Being at the UC for a non-Bulls game was pretty interesting. They did a pretty good job of making the game appealing. There was a hilarious intro video that culminated with an animated puck hitting the Florida Panther logo and making it explode. Being able to get a look at Pat Kane and J-Toews was really cool. Knowing nothing about hockey, I can comfortably say that both of the kids have bright futures.
Hawks lost, by the way.
3) And as for the Bears-Vikings game tonight, I'm uncharacteristically excited. Being a mega sellout double fan of the Bears and Pats, I spend most of my time in awe of the Pats and embarrassment of the Bears. But I'm really excited for tonight's game for some reason. Maybe it's because the season is over, and the Bears can play with nothing to lose. Kind of like some asshole wondering into a poker game of all-pros and going all-in blind with no real strategy. Sure, it's risky, and he'll piss a lot of people off with his lack of strategy, but I mean, come on, it's way better and more capable players, do you have a better game plan??? But maybe that's what starting Kyle Orton is like: going all-in, blind.

Hell freaking yeah.

Somewhat ironic that Michigan couldn't stop a spread offense all season, and hires a new coach who is famous for running it. If you can't beat them, join them, i suppose.
