After years of searching for the truth, baseball finally has found it. This information has might to be hard to sallow for some, but face it people, it’s true: Jim Parque used steroids. What, you thought that 1.5 WHIP he posted as the number two starter on the 2000 Central Division champion White Sox was legit? Guess not. You may have busted Parque, Mitchell, but you’ll never catch The Milkman! He’d rather die then have his good name smeared in public.

Anways, this whole thing has been pretty anticlimactic to me. Everyone already knew Clemens and Tejada used roids’, it was in Jason Grimsley’s affidavit. It’s hard to understand how Clemens has gotten a free pass since then. Hopefully, it’ll end here. Clemens has always been as surly and shady as Bonds, and now they wil be placed right next to each other in history. Good for them.

None of the big names- Bonds, Clemens, Sheff, Tejada- came was a real surprise, besides for Pettitte, which could have been reasonably inferred since his best buddy is The Rocket. Some of these names are just hilarious though. I started giggling when Mo Vaughn’s name showed up. Knoblach, Vina, and Todd Hundley are all priceless. Good for Kent Merker, too. That guy has been a grade-A d-bag since day one. The lesson is, as always, don’t mess with Steve Stone. Nothing good will come of it. Least surprising name on the Mitchell report: Glenallen Hill. That guy could make Big Papi look like Eckstein. Speaking of Eckstein, too bad he could find a way to land on this list. I feel as if he and Joe Borchard were robbed.

It’s great to see no one from the 05’ Sox on this list. Seeing Rowand, Konerko, or Uribe really would have been disappointing. I knew The Big Hurt wouldn’t be on the list, but this is just further proof that he’s a first ballot Hall of Fame player all the way. While some of his contemporaries like Bonds, Palermo, and Vaughn have tarnished names, Frank comes out clean. It’ll be a huge injustice if he doesn’t head into Cooperstown on his first attempt.

Wasn't Parque traded to Toronto is a controversial deal? Is my memory fuzzy on that one? Maybe he was making a comeback...maybe that was Sirotka? help?

You were right with your second stab in Sirotka. Jim Parque decided to come out to play for the 2000 season and 2000 season only.

Ah, thanks. I knew it was one of the lefties who helped the Sox that year.
