• For those of you in the BlogsByFans Fantasy basketball league, the league drafts tonight in about 5 hours. We have 12 teams and everyone should be gunning to take down NBA expert SML.

• FreeDarko's NBA season preview is pretty much the most excellent thing I've ever read. I highly recommend checking back as it continues to develop, but here are some of today's best lines:

Crawford, Jamal: is the next ballplayer to get stabbed by a bunch of rappers.
Dunleavy, Mike: gets nominated by Indiana fans as "Pacer of the year" even though no such award exists.
Cardinal, Brian: Hopefully will donate his body to science
Doleac, Michael: fixes lightbulbs for shorter players.
Byars, Derrick: Multiple 15-point games
Brown, Elton: I don't know who that is
Deane, Willie: will get pantsed by Gilbert Arenas.
Deng, Luol: Bulls' first all-star since the Clinton administration.

• I added two sleek new sites to the blog roll, WCSB and Zoner Sports, check them out.

• Prepare tomorrow for my top-50 NBA player rankings. Don't sound so excited.

UPDATE: THE BLACKHAWKS ARE SET TO BEGIN AIRING HOME GAMES. This probably makes Bombay happy.
