Adrian Peterson- If he didn't have durability concerns, we think Peterson would give CJ a run for his money as the top player overall. We think he'll be a Hall of Famer and he will begin his run of pro bowls in his rookie season. If Peterson slips out of the top 5, teams are going to be kicking themselves for years to come.
I almost feel bad for ranking him second overall behind CJ. God, I'm a genius, and so good at predictions (If you remember, I thought Rex would make the Pro Bowl by throwing 29 touchdowns and 14 picks, and that the Bears would win the Super Bowl. I guess you can't completely rule out #2 yet, but it's starting to look pretty grim.).
It's too bad they ended up losing, because had they pulled this one out, Hester's performance would have gone down in Chicago lore. How amazing was that punt return? Pretty much the greatest thing I've ever seen. And as for the 81-yard bomb- everyone says getting Hester involved offensively is harder then people realize, which is kind of true. But it also kind of isn't- just put the guy on the field on passing plays (not running plays like they've been doing) and make him either the primary or number two option. It's harder but also more simple then both smart and dumb people realize (ok this paragraph makes no sense at all, pretend you never read it).
The bad thing is that the Bears best player might be Lance Briggs, who won't be around next season no matter what he's saying now, and their second best player is probably Hester who doesn't even have a fucking position. God, the Bears make me so angry. They really should beat ass, and instead they almost suck. I blame this all on Ron Turner, of course, for fucking up Grossman. Brian Griese deserves some blame too just for being alive. It's not that the dude is all that bad, I thought he played pretty well against Minnesota and he passed for almost 400 yards and three touchdowns, but the guy just isn't cool at all. With Rex in there, the offensive possibilities were endless. With Griese, the ceiling is lowered about 500%. Man, I hate football.
As for positives besides Hester and I guess the Grease-Man; nice job Cedric Benson and the o-line! The boys up front gave Ced some holes and he took advantage of it. His numbers weren't great but it seemed as if he was moving the ball well enough. The toss was working great and hopefully the Bears won't abandon it when they're playing teams without the brothers Williams in the middle.
With four loses, the Bears have now lost more then last year already. I still think there is a chance this team gets healthy and starts clicking in the playoffs, but they have to make it there first. With every passing game, that looks less and less likely.
In conclusion, Hester rules, the Bears suck.

I would hardly say Brian Griese rules at anything besides for being a complete square. I guess he did play pretty good though, but the interception that ended the third quarter was absolutely awful.

Grease-Man rules. Hester is amazing. Benson is awful.
Plenty of time for the season to get back on track...
