It's clear after one game that Cedric Benson is the biggest question mark on the Bears. I completely stole this idea from Brian's sweet Joba/Gagne graphic at the top of his site, but here's my Cedric Benson/Thomas Jones tracker, comparing Benson with the fan favorite running back of last year. Hopefully, we'll get it in the site permanently soon.

Back with a few thoughts on Mike Brown either later today or tommarow.

Ha, that's cool. I personally think the Bears should benefit from having the better offensive line than the Jets, but I guess right now it's still a draw.

I support the trading of Thomas Jones by the Bears if they used the money saved to fill another need... so, did they?

Um they had to trade Jones because he demanded a trade, people dont realize that. Angelo didn't want to trade him, but he had two guys who wanted to be starters, and he had to get rid of one of them. Jones is getting old and everyone knows running backs decline so much when they're 30 or higher, so the decision was easy, especially when Benson looked great at the end of last season. Jones didn't make that much money in the first place, so it wasn't about that.

I agree, Jones wanted to be the feature back and that wasn't going to happen. If for some reason he had stayed it could have created massive problems on the sidelines and in the media.I think people are getting a bit overboard, especially seeing as Benson faced San Diego's defense. The game was a defensive struggle, at least Benson had more yards than San Diego. Personally, I didn't think Rivers was any more impressive than Grossman was...
