Peterson Denies He’s Still Hurt
Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson disputed a report earlier today that he reinjured his collarbone in the Fiesta Bowl. It was claimed that Peterson will need surgery and that he may not be ready for training camp. Peterson insisted that he is perfectly healthy and will be ready for minicamp.
Vilma For Portis?
It’s clear that the Washington Redskins are in the market for a pro bowl linebacker after their defense regressed in 2006. If a deal for Chicago Bears’ linebacker Lance Briggs can’t be worked out, the team could turn their attention to the Jets’ Jonathon Vilma. A reported blockbuster trade could be in the works that would send Vilma to Washington in exchange for running back Clinton Portis. The Redskins would then select Adrian Peterson with the 6th pick. If the deal doesn’t happen, Washington is said to choose either Amobi Okoye or LaRon Landry at 6.
Packers Pursuing Moss
If the Raiders select Calvin Johnson #1 overall tomorrow, look for Randy Moss to be traded to Green Bay. The deal could be for backup quarterback Aaron Rodgers, whom the club has reportedly soured on, or for a second or third round pick. Even if the Raiders take JaMarcus Russell, the deal could still be on if the Packers pass on a wide receiver in the first round.
Tomorrow’s the big day. We’ll be posting every 10 picks with recap and analysis.

Yeah dog, i dont think it makes sense for the Jets either, especially after my Bears just gave you guys TJ.
Yeah, that was a steal. I was hoping they would throw Briggs in too, but, hey, what can ya do?

That trade for Clinton Portis makes no sense for the Jets.
I would be thoroughly disgusted if it's consummated.
